New Cooking Classes and Upcoming Toronto Gigs

My September 12th class is sold out! Wow, thanks so much for the great response, everyone.

Due to the demand, I will be repeating the class Stir Frys, Noodles and Marinades the following week on September 19th at Villa Venezia. If you would like to attend this class, please contact me at couillardgreg (@) yahoo.com or you can phone me at Number 4 Restaurant, at 376-766-1360.

From October 2nd to October 30th, I will be returning to Toronto, where for part of that time, I will be the featured chef at the brand new gastro-pub,  The Fox and the Fiddle, located on the waterfront, overlooking Fort York. I will be there on October 12th to October 15th, preparing some of my greatest hits, as well as firing up the stoves to present a selection of Mexican fusion inspired dishes, featuring some of my new Chili Bang Spice Rubs, chutneys, and salsas.

Stay tuned for more information on my special Toronto dates and menus.

Next month, in November, I am offering more cooking classes in Ajijic, Mexico.  The first class will be at the gorgeous El Dorado Clubhouse and the menu will feature Coconut Lobster Rissoto, Hunan Beef and a Mango Salad.

Near the end of November, we will be presenting a three course healthy spa luncheon at the temazcal sweat lodge, where massages and other relaxing services will be available alongside the olympic-size infinity pool.

What’s a Chef Greg Couillard Class Like?

My first class was held in an exclusive, stunning villa overlooking Lake Chapala in Jalisco, Mexico. You couldn’t ask for a better location.  In that particular class, I demonstrated the dishes ‘Saigon Steak’, ‘Nam Prik Wrap’, ‘Burmese Shrimp’ followed by a ‘Pineapple Crème Brule’.   With each class, we try to find a unique and beautiful location.

Less of a hands-on class, and more like sitting at the chef’s table, I will demonstrate an exotic menu, while you sit back and relax with a few glasses of wine and learn how to prepare some of my signature dishes.

Look for upcoming classes under Classes and Events.

Welcome

I am pleased to announce the launch of my new web site from Ajijic, Jalisco Mexico. The site is designed to tantalize the taste buds and stimulate foodies with my culinary adventures and foodscapes here in Mexico and abroad.

I will be visiting food markets, interacting with the local cultures, hosting cooking classes and will share all facets of the world of food that is my passion and my life. You will experience exotic cuisines through my videos, and blogs. I will also be providing updates and recipes from my upcoming memoir/cookbook.

I look forward to interacting with friends, fans and all of you who have been stalking me for years…Let the blogs begin!
